The Ogun State Police Command has recorded another breakthrough in intelligence-led operations across Sango-Ota, Owode-Egba and Agbado, leading to the arrest of seven suspects, linked to armed robbery, housebreaking, stealing, conspiracy and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

Police spokesperson,  Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the operations were aimed at sustaining peace and security across the state.

According to her, the trio of Pelumi Akintande, 21; Mojeed Sanusi, 28; and Mubarak Lateef, 17; were arrested at Sango-Ota, following an armed robbery incident in Alasia Community.

Police recovered a locally fabricated cut-to-size pistol and an expended cartridge allegedly used during the operation.

Babaseyi stated further that at Owode-Egba, the police arrested Damilare Makanjuola, 22, for alleged housebreaking and stealing in Ofada.

Investigations, she added, linked him to burglary incidents within Sun City Estate, where electrical appliances, cash and valuables were reportedly stolen.

The police also arrested Tijani Jubril, 28, and Ezra Modi, 22, for conspiracy and stealing within Treasure Island Estate, Awo Village. They were allegedly intercepted while attempting to dispose off stolen electrical appliances.

In Agbado, police arrested Waris Adebesin, 22, for conduct likely to cause a breach of peace after allegedly threatening violence around a secondary school. A knife was recovered from him.
