Lagos State Police Command has arraigned three young men on charges bordering on defilement and breach of the peace before the State Magistrates’ Court, Ogba.
The defendants are :Vincent Omar, 22, Leonard Nwodo, 30, and Henry Chiokwe, 17, they were docked before Magistrate Mrs. E. Kubeinje on one-count charge each.
The charge read:”That you, Vincent Omar ‘m’ sometime between 2022 and May 2024, at No. 234, Cooperation Estate, Amuwo Festac, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did sexually assaulted one Angel Michael ‘f’ 15years old by penetrating her mouth with your penis and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
“That you, Leonard Nwodo ‘m’, sometimes in May 2024 at No. 234, Cooperation Estate, Amuwo Festac, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile one Angel Michael ‘f’ 15years old by having unlawful carnal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal laws of Lagos State, 2015.
“That you, Henry Chiokwe ‘m’ on the 19th day of September 2024, at Durbar Estate, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause breach of the peace by threatening one Angel Michael ‘f’ 15years old to share her nude picture and video on the internet and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 168(d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015”.
The three defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges but it was only Chiokwe that the court granted bail while, the first and the second defendants were remanded.
Further hearing in the case has been adjourn to November 12, 2024
