Popular Nigerian dancer and hypeman, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, is expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, over an alleged assault.
Speaking on the case involving Poco Lee, the court Admin Team Lead, James Baker, confirmed that the matter is listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.
Baker, however, declined to provide the exact time and courtroom for the proceedings, saying the information would only become available shortly before the hearing.
He wrote, “OFFICIAL. Good afternoon. I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026.
“Criminal Court hearings are open to the public. Precise times and courtroom information will not be available until the day before the hearing. Many thanks.”
On Monday, Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby and founder of the Community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, said via a social media post that Poco Lee was being held in a UK prison and was expected to appear before the court in September.
Kuti shared that he was aware of the development because he regularly attends court proceedings and supports Nigerians involved in legal matters in the UK.
“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison. His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” he said.
Explaining the court process, Kuti said a plea hearing would ordinarily involve the accused entering either a guilty or not-guilty plea.
He added that he intended to attend the proceedings as part of his support for members of the Nigerian community in the UK.
The court’s confirmation has now formally established that Poco Lee’s case is listed for plea and trial preparation at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, although the court has not yet released the precise time or courtroom.
