Plateau South Senator Dadu’ut empowers flood victims

Senator representing Plateau South, Prof. Nora Ladi Dadu’ut has distributed over 2000 bags of grains and sundry relief materials to victims of recent flood disaster in her constituency as parts of her effort to touch the lives of her constituents positively.

She noted that the items were distributed across the six local government areas that made up the constituency.

Prof. Dadu’ut who spoke on Friday while distributing the materials said they are parts of the palliative measure to help the vulnerable, particularly the flood victims.

She said the items distributed includes 900 bags of maize, 750 bags of sorghum and 350 bags of millet among others.

She explained that she is aware of the pains and hardship the people were passing through as the flood took over buildings and farms belonging to them,

Prof. Daduut added that she remains committed to the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of the people of Plateau South and will continue to deliver dividends of democracy while in the Senate .

One of the beneficiaries who gave his name as Festus Homsuk said the gesture was a testimony to Senator Daduut’s kind nature and readiness to always support her people. “Our senator is always passionate about giving positive representation to our people he added .

“We commend our Senator for her good representation in the National assembly and for always coming to the aid of his people.”

Also, senator Daduut has trained over 50 youths in her constituency in various aspects of Information and Communication Technology.

The beneficiaries were drawn from the six local government areas making up Plateau South Senatorial district .

She also empowered over 200 vulnerable women in her constituency with cash grants.

She explained that the gesture was aimed at boosting the morales of his constituents.

Each beneficiary was given the sum of N25,000 cash grant to uplift their small scale business in order for them to become self reliance.
