Plateau Rider bus manager gunned down in Yenagoa

Alhaji Auwalu Aliyu, a bus station manager of Plateau Rider in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State has been killed by suspected armed robbers.

Investigations revealed that Aliyu was killed Tuesday night at about 9pm near the State Assembly complex at the Imgbi axis of the state capital.
One Alhaji Sule Galadima was said to have reported the incident to the Police, prompting an immediate investigation.

Findings indicated that the deceased was on his way home after close of work when he encountered the suspected armed robbers who shot him.

Aliyu was said to have entered a commercial bus unaware that it was occupied by robbers.
The robbers were said to have shot him and pushed him out of the car, after robbing him of all the cash and other valuables.
There have been pockets of streets and gang- robbery in recent weeks in Yenagoa.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Musa Moahammed who confirmed the incident said Galadima who is the deceased brother reported the incident to the Police.
According to Mohammed, investigations is already on-going.
