Plateau Pilgrim dies in Makkah

A pilgrim from Plateau State, Isma’ila Musa, has reportedly died in Makkah while performing this year’s Hajj.

Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Daiyabu Dauda, broke the news in a press statement in Jos.

According to him, the deceased, who hailed from Mangu Local Government Area of the state, passed away on Tuesday.

The statement said, “Innallilahi wa inna ilaihir Raji’un, the Executive Secretary Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board regret to announce the demise of one of our pilgrims in Makkah today at the Annur Specialist Hospital where he was admitted since on 31st May 2024. He is by name Isma’ila Musa from Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

“We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the Government and people of Plateau State and pray for Allah to accept his Hajj and grant him eternal rest.

“May Allah give his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, Amin.”
