The Presidential candidate of Labour Party Peter Obi is leading in two out of the three local government areas of Plateau State so far announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Obi pulled 32,489 votes to defeat the APC candidate, Bola Tinubu who scored 12,514 votes in Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area of the state.
INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Shehu Abdullraham and Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lafiya, who received the results as presented by the Local Government Returning Officer said Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) came third in Barkin-Ladi with 9,073 votes.
In Mikang Local Government Area, PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar pulled 7,211 votes to defeat his closest rival, Peter Obi of the Labour Party who scored 7201 votes while the APC candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu got 5,044 votes.
Obi also pulled 15,171 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the PDP who scored 8,181 in Riyom Local Government Area while APC candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu scored 6,936 votes.
