Two persons, including an 82-year-old man, have been killed in separate attacks on two communities in Irigwe Chiefdom of Bassa Local Government,Plateau State.
One other person was reportedly sustained injuries and receiving treatment at a hospital in the area.
The victims were identified as 82-year-old Demi Duda and 19-year-old Emmanuel Chinge.

National Publicity Secretary, Irigwe Youth Movement (IYM), Joseph Chudu Yonkpab, , who disclosed this in a statement yesterday, said that the victims were killed within a space of 24 hours.
Yonkpab said that while Emmanuel Chinge was killed on Sunday at Nche-tahu in Nkien-Whie District of Irigwe Chiefdom, Demi Duda was killed, between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., on Monday in Kurudu, Jebbu, Miango district, where another resident also sustained injuries.
The youths expressed concern over what it described as the deteriorating security situation in Irigwe land, alleging that repeated attacks were threatening lives and destroying farms, resulting in economic hardship.
While calling for support and prayers for communities in Irigwe land and other parts of Plateau State affected by insecurity, IYM tasked security agencies to tackle insurgency in Irigwe land .
