A youth leader in Miango in Bassa Local Government , Plateau State, John Telle Danjuma, has been killed.
Danjuma, popularly called Excoba, was the Director of Social of the Miango Youth Development Association (MYDA). He was reportedly ambushed and killed at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday along the Gyu (Twins Hill) axis in Miango community.
Confirming the development in a statement, the Publicity Secretary, Miango Youth Development Association, Weyi Agara, said Danjuma, who was recently inaugurated into office, was attacked while returning home.
He had barely served in office for two months before his death.

Agara described the deceased as a dedicated youth leader who committed himself to community service and the development of the Irigwe people.
MYDA called for urgent intervention by security agencies, saying that the attack formed part of recurring security challenges affecting communities in the area.
It urged federal and state authorities to investigate the killing and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
The group expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and to the entire Miango community.
Danjuma left behind a young widow and a son.
