The death toll in the latest wave of violent attacks in Dorowa Babuje in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State has risen following a fresh attack by unidentified gunmen.
Seven persons were initially killed in the attack, which occurred on Sunday evening.
Our correspondent gathered that more bodies were recovered from affected communities in Barkin Ladi and Riyom Local Government Areas.

A community leader and member of the Berom Youth Moulders Association, Rwang Tengwong, told newsmen on Monday that more dead bodies of their members were recovered from Dorowa Babuje, while another person was shot dead in Jol in Riyom Local Government Area of the state.
He said the attack occurred at about 7.27 pm and left three others seriously injured, who are still recovering in hospital, he added.
DSP Alfred Alabo, the spokesman of the Plateau Police Command, could not be reached for comments. His phones were switched off.
