Pipeline surveillance: Senator Dickson lauds Tompolo, Calls for expansion of Tantita Contract

Senator Representing Bayelsa West, Senator Seriake Dickson has commended High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for his efforts in securing  the nation’s economic assets within the Niger Delta region, through his Tantita Surveillance company.

The Lawmaker, who emphasized that pipeline surveillance has reduced environmental hazards occasioned by illegal refining of crude, also maintained that such monitoring has helped in preventing accidents, such as explosions, leakages, and other associated environmental damage.

Senator Dickson also thanked President Bola Tinubu, the Petroleum Minister and the NNPC for working with the Tantita Surveillance company, stressing that the partnership needs to be strengthened to secure flow stations and the waterways.

The Lawmaker made these assertions when he led a delegation of Traditional rulers, Elders, Political stakeholders, Women and Youth leaders of Bayelsa West on a courtesy visit to the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, King Aketepe Agadagba, Oboro- Gbaraun 11.

 

Appreciating the King and his Council of Chiefs for maintaining peace and order, Senator Dickson called on political leaders and stakeholders to support their traditional rulers in fostering peace and stability in their Clans and Kingdoms.

 

Responding, King Aketepe Agadagba who appreciated Senator Dickson and his entourage for honouring him, described the visit as timely and important in building cordiality relationship between the Ijaw people of Niger Delta.

The monarch said Senator Dickson is a true son of Ijaw nation for his contributions alongside other illustrious sons of the Niger Delta to move the Ijaw Nation forward and prayed God to bless the Lawmaker, strengthen him to continue to deliver on his duties.

 

Lending his voice, Deputy Chairman Sagbama Caucus, Dr. O O Osusu applauded Mr. Ekpemupolo for his contributions in fostering peace and stability in Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Niger Delta by way of combating oil theft in the region.

 

Dr. Osusu also thanked King Agadagba, the Council of Chiefs and people of Gbaramatu Kingdom for the warm reception accorded them.
