Chairman of Prime Innovation Institute of Technology (PIIT), Joe Ebinum, has reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to help rebuild Nigeria through the digital economy, as a way of cushioning the effect of the current harsh economy.
Ebinum, who stated this at the PIIT’s 15th anniversary, noted that the institute was committed to nurturing tech talents by driving innovation in the country.
He said: “Since inception, we have been dedicated to empowering individuals and organisations with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

“By this, we offer a wide range of courses, including data analysis, financial intelligence with Microsoft Excel, cyber security, artificial intelligence, and web development, among others Over the past 15 years, we have produced thousands of graduates, who are now making significant contributions to Nigeria’s digital economy.
“We believe in the transformative power of technology and education. Our mission is to create a brighter future for Nigeria by equipping our students with the tools they need to lead and innovate.”
The centre manager, Olusegun Adegbite, said: “Over the years, we have actively engaged in various community projects, including free tech training workshops, scholarships for deserving students, and partnerships with local schools and churches. These initiatives reflect PIIT’s commitment to giving back to the community and contributing to the growth of the tech industry in Nigeria.”
He stressed that Nigeria has immense potential to become a global tech hub. “We are committed to equipping our students with the skills and knowledge needed to harness this potential and contribute to the nation’s growth and development. We are excited about the future of technology in Nigeria as we aim to introduce new programmes in emerging technologies, and collaborate with industry leaders to create more opportunities for students by becoming a hub of innovation and a catalyst for positive change in the tech sector,” he stated.
