British broadcaster Piers Morgan has named Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest Ballon d’Or winner of all time.
Morgan shared his ranking on X on Tuesday, leaving Argentina captain Lionel Messi out of his top three.
The 61-year-old placed Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Nazário second, while the late Dutch great Johan Cruyff came third.

Messi, who won the Ballon d’Or eight times, was notably absent from Morgan’s selections.
This is coming after France Football, organisers of the Ballon d’Or, launched the “Ballon d’Or of All Time”, B.O.A.T., fan poll for historic winning seasons.
