MOHAMMED Sallah has declared that Egypt would have a good outing at the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Sallah who spoke yesterday moments after arriving Accra for the African footballer of the year award ceremony
old Daily Sun sports that Egypt is going to do “something special” at the Mundial.
He pointed out that the way the country qualified for the Mundial with ease is a clear indication that the Pharaohs are going to Russia to shock the world.
“If you see the way we played during the qualifiers, then you will know that we are going to Russia to do something special,” Sallah said.
The Liverpool forward said he would person- ally use the World Cup to further show the world that he is a “world class” player.
On the African foot- baller of the year award, Sallah said he is happy to be in Accra for the award,
even as he added that being nominated alongside his Liverpool teammate Senegalese Sadio Mane makes it the more exciting.
“Mane is a close friend. We share everything together out there in Liverpool and I m happy we are being recognized as the best players in Africa.”
