Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi

The self-styled Director General, Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, has been arrested in Osun State.

Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Okokon Iniedu confirmed the arrest on Tuesday.

Adeniyi was nabbed by the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) shortly after a Federal High Court in Abuja issued a bench warrant for his arrest over his failure to appear in court for his arraignment.

Earlier on Tuesday, Judge Mohammed Umar issued the warrant for Adeniyi’s arrest following an oral application by the prosecution lawyer, Wisdom Madaki.

The police filed an eight-count charge against Adeniyi on 27 November last year, accusing him of conspiracy, forgery and impersonation regarding the operation of the ‘fake’ PFIPC.
