Peter Mbah sworn in as governor of Enugu

Peter Mbah, the new Governor of Enugu State has been sworn into office as the fifth executive Governor of the state.

Mbah took the oath of office and allegiance led by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Raymond Ọzọ Emeka at 12.53 pm.

The Deputy Governor, Ifeanyi Ossai, earlier took his oaths before the Chief Judge at the inauguration ceremony taking place at Ọkpara Square.

Shortly after the swearing-in, the immediate former Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi handed over the reins of governance to Mbah.

The governor is now inspecting the guard of honour mounted by the Nigeria Police Force.
