PDP South East executive vow to deliver Anyanwu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South East zonal executive, under the leadership of Enugu State governor, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has vowed to deliver Sen Samuel Anyanwu, governorship candidate of the PDP ahead of the November 11 off-season governorship election in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi states, 

The zonal meeting also unanimously endorsed and forwarded the name of Mr S.K.E Udeh-Okoye, an indigene of Enugu State to the PDP National Working Committee to fill the vacant position of the National Secretary of the party, vacated by Anyanwu to contest the governorship election.

The South East zonal meeting stated this in a communique issued at its meeting held on October 16 at the Government House in Enugu.

Meanwhile, the PDP National Vice-Chairman, High Chief Ali Odefa told the meeting that the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) has directed the Deputy National Secretary to take up the duties of the National Secretary in acting capacity.

The communique said, “We must do everything humanly possible to ensure that our candidate wins the coming governorship election in Imo State. b. We observed that the position of the National Secretary would be a distraction to our candidate, Sen Sam Anyanwu as the National Secretary.

“That the ZEC members unanimously nominated  S.K.E Udeh-Okoye from Enugu, South East to replace Sen Sam Anyanwu as the National Secretary.

“We therefore, hereby forward his name to the National Working Committee of our party as our nominee from the South East for the position of the National Secretary of our great party”.
