A faction of the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, led by Alhaji Tamimu Turaki, is currently in a closed-door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his penthouse residence inside the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta.
Turaki, alongside former governors of Niger and Plateau States, Alhaji Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu and Senator Jonah Jang, among other top leaders of the party, arrived at the OOPL at about 11:38 a.m. on Saturday.

The PDP leaders thereafter proceeded to have a closed-door meeting with Obasanjo.
