A People’s Democratic Party women leader in kogi state, Princess Grace Iye Adejoh has called on Rivers state governor, Nyeson Wike and the chairman of the opposition party to close rank and team up together to rescue the country from its present rots so that the party can get a landslide victory in next year election.
In a press statement made available to newsmen in lokoja on Wednesday, the women leader said the opposition party can no longer afford to
wash it’s dirty linen outside due to internal bickerings saying the masses are looking up to the party to rescue the country from total collapse.
Princess Grace Iye Adejoh who expressed worry that the reconciliation process is dragging too long considering the limited time for the election, said someone has to
to make sacrifice to enable the party win the presidential election.
While urging Wike to reconsider his hard stance for the sake of the party, the PDP women leader said he should not be seen as pulling down the house he helped built even as she said his enormous contributions to the party can not be wished away.
The statement reads in parts:
” I am pleading that someone must let go by making sacrifice so that we can go into the election as a united party , and I believe the one that sacrifice is the bigger person and becomes the hero .
“Governor Wike should not say I have been helping the party, I am tired, so I will stop, No. One does not stop doing good, one only stops doing bad. A person does not change from good to bad but only change from bad to good.
“Wike and Ayu should see that their positive action is urgently needed at this time for the rescue and development of Nigeria and not just PDP. Accusations and counter accusations can not help matters, we have to move forward
” If the duo truly love Nigeria, they should please don’t allow those who put the nation in this crushing hardship and hunger continue beyond 2023, the suffering Masses are looking for a party that will salvage the nation from total collapse

“The truth is that, it is time to make history to become the hero. Let it be said of them that when Nigeria was in dire need, someone made a sacrifice and gave the country the leadership that save her.
” I believe that the current challenge the party is facing is because the dawn of a great era for the party and country is at hand and I have confidence that wike and Ayu will do the needful for our party to win majority of the states in 2023 general and also for our presidential candidate, Atiku Abubaker to win the presidential election in landslide victory ” the statement added
