Nigeria’s Patrick Ocheme narrowly defeated Abdoul Razac Sankara via Split Decision (29-28×2, 28-29) in a Catchweight Showcase Bout to book a place in the final of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in Rwanda.

Ocheme started with a sidekick but a right hand by Sankara to put him back.

The Nigerian responds with his own punch, followed by a body kick. Another low kick by Ocheme and he got his opponent on the fence and lands a couple of knees to the legs before the bell in the first round.

Ocheme continued with a combination right and left hand as well as low kicks but a strong right hand by Sankara gets him to stumble. Sankara then throws a high kick as he chases him. A brief clinch against the fence, followed by a right hand from Sankara. Ocheme with a knee, and then a couple of overhand rights.

In the third round, Sankara was on the front foot again, landing kicks before pressing Ocheme against the fence. He continued with a flurry of shots on Ocheme near the fence.

Off the fence with less than 90 seconds to go now, Ocheme blocks a left roundhouse. Elbow and a low kick by Sankara saw Ocheme with a spinning back fist. An exchange in the closing seconds, but Ocheme runs away from Sankara in the final seconds of the fight.
