The remains of the late Pastor Gabriel Nwanedo Nwogu will be laid to rest on Friday, October 23, 2026, at his home town, Emedike, Umuchoko, Chokoneze in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State.
Pastor Nwogu died on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Lagos Island Hospital during a brief illness, at the age of 59 years.
According to a burial programme signed by Mr. Chukwudi Nwogu, on behalf of the family, there will be a Service of Songs in his honour, at his Lagos residence, No. 31 Maye Street, Yaba, Lagos, on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 4pm.
On Friday, October 23, 2026, his body will depart from the Orient Hospital Mortuary, Uvuru, Aboh Mbaise, Imo State, at 8am, for a brief reception at the Emedike Village Hall, Umuchoko Chokoneze. At 8.30am, his body will leave for the Nwogu family compound in Emedike, Umuchoko Chokoneze for lying in state at 9am, after which the body leaves for the Anglican Church of Epiphany in Emedike, Umuchoko Chokoneze, where a funeral service will be held in his honour, at 11am.
Interment will follow immediately after the funeral service at the Nwogu family compound, Emedike, Umuchoko Chokoneze, at 12noon.
A devout Christian and fire-brand deliverance minister, Pastor Nwogu will be remembered as a faithful servant of God, whose ministry of compassion and benevolence impacted the lives of many who came in close contact with him.
Aside from his Christian ministry, he was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Scientific Technologies Limited, a company that specialises in assembling, servicing, and repairs of hospital and laboratory equipment.
Left to mourn him are his widow, step-mother, brothers, sister, in-laws and other close relatives.
