Pastor Adeboye, wife donate dialysis machines to UBTH, boost kidney care

The Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, has commended the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye, for donating three complete sets of dialysis machines to the hospital.

Speaking to newsmen in Benin on Wednesday during the delivery of the Nefro Renal Care Solution equipment, Prof. Ize-Iyamu described the donation as a significant intervention that would strengthen renal care services at UBTH and complement the government’s investment in the healthcare sector.

She said the equipment would enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide critical dialysis services to patients suffering from kidney-related conditions, while also helping to improve access to life-saving treatment.

Presenting the equipment on behalf of His Love Foundation (HLF), the official global Christian Social Responsibility arm of the RCCG, Pastor Bode Olojede said the donation was made by Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye, as part of their commitment to supporting healthcare delivery and improving the lives of Nigerians.

The donation is expected to bolster UBTH’s renal care capacity and provide renewed hope for patients requiring regular dialysis treatment.

Olojede added that His Love Foundation, as a charity arm of the RCCG, is committed to addressing hunger, health, education, rehabilitation, prison ministry and social enterprise.

He said the RCCG General Overseer and his wife had been supporting national intervention programmes, including building intensive care units and numerous Enoch and Folu Adeboye dialysis centres across various teaching hospitals and general medical centres in the country.

On his part, the Federal Commissioner representing Edo State on the Federal Character Commission (FCC) and former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), Rt. Hon. Engr. Victor Edoror, equally commended Pastor Enoch Adeboye for his significant donation in support of individuals with renal challenges.

Edoror, who joined the CMD to receive the medical supplies, emphasised that the government cannot tackle these challenges alone and urged other General Overseers across the country to emulate the philanthropic example.

He expressed profound gratitude and prayed for continued good health and long life for Pastor Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye, for their compassionate remembrance of vulnerable patients.

Medical supplies donated include Nefro 4000 A HD Machine, Nefro Dialyzer 1.8M2, Nefro Universal Bloodline, Nefro Bicarbonate Cartridge, Nefro Acid Concentrate, and Nefro Dialysis Fluid Filter.
