As a Senior Resident Doctor in Haematology, medical writer, researcher, autism advocate, and the Founder of Autism Parenting in Nigeria and Jakamtonia Healthy Foods, she embodies a unique blend of expertise and compassion.
Dr. Pascaline’s journey began over a decade ago in the medical field, leading her to her current role at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital. In 2024, she launched Autism Parenting in Nigeria, a platform born out of compassion and concerns for families dealing with autism, aiming to combat stigma, misinformation, and the lack of support for families in Nigeria. Complementing this, Jakamtonia Healthy Foods was established to promote healthy living in health conscious individuals.
Driven by her experiences as a medical doctor, researcher, and medical writer, Dr. Pascaline recognized the urgent need for reliable information and support. This realization led to the creation of the Autism Parenting in Nigeria blog, online resource library, and podcast, offering hope, guidance, and practical solutions to parents. Similarly, Jakamtonia Healthy Foods was founded to promote overall healthy living in health conscious individuals especially in these individuals. Dr. Pascaline’s impact is evident in her medical career, where she specializes in blood disorders and contributes to critical research. Through Autism Parenting in Nigeria, she reaches thousands of parents, fostering awareness and empowering families. Her leadership at Jakamtonia Healthy Foods merges science and entrepreneurship to provide nutrient-dense foods, enhancing health literacy and strengthening healthcare delivery across the nation.
Looking ahead, Dr. Pascaline has ambitious plans to further her impact. Her ongoing research includes a randomized controlled trial on leucovorin supplementation for Nigerian children with autism, and she is writing a book, “Autism Parenting in Nigeria.” She plans to launch a high-impact online course for families dealing with autism and expand Jakamtonia Healthy Foods into a nationally recognized brand.
Additionally, she aims to advance her clinical research in haematology, focusing on autism-related haematologic profiles, and pursue international autism-focused research fellowships.
