Paris FC has reached an agreement with FC Nantes for the transfer of Nigerian international Moses Simon (29) for around €7 million, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

The left-winger has been a key target for Paris FC this summer as the team looks to strengthen a squad that will be playing in Ligue 1 for the first time in 46 years.

Ouest-France had previously reported that Paris had sent a bid of around €5 million for the forward; however, Foot Mercato writes that this fell short of Nantes’ expectations.

Paris returned with an improved offer and look to have convinced Les Canaris to part ways with a player who has been a mainstay in the squad since he arrived on a permanent deal in 2020.

During his time at Nantes, Simon has helped the club stave off relegation and also reach back-to-back Coupe de France finals in 2022 and 2023. The first of which the club won, beating OGC Nice, and claiming the club’s fourth title.
