Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: Nigeria Paralympic athletes return in batches

Team Nigeria athletes to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in France have all returned to the country.

Made up of 24 athletes excluding officials, the team returned into the country Sunday and yesterday in three batches.

The first batch, consisting the golden Para-Powerlifters, landed at 11pm Nigeria time with AIR MAROC while the second batch made up of mainly of the Para Table Tennis players arrived 8am yesterday through Qatar Air.

The last batch, which contained the Para- Athletics team, arrived 12 noon, also yesterday.

All the Team Nigeria Paralympic athletes to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games have returned safely into the country.

President of the  Paralympic Committee Nigeria, Sunday Odebode has given God the glory for the safe return of Team Nigeria athletes from Paris, France.

Odebode equally commended the Sports Minister, Senator John Owan Enoh for being there for the athletes

Also happy for Team Nigeria’s safe trip to and from Paris is  Prof. Mariam Adefunke Suleiman, the President of  the National Association of Nigeria Women in Sports (NAWIS). She thanked God for guiding the athletes all through.

Meanwhile, the returnee Paralympians are full of praises for the Federal Ministry of Sports Development (FMSD) Lagos Liaison Officer, Mrs Nkana Mbora for her motherly role in mobilising Lagosians, who besieged the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, to welcome the victorious Nigeria Paralympic contingent.

Nigeria won a total of 2 gold, 2 Silver and 3 bronze medals.
