Nigeria’s Eniola Mariam Bolaji has continued her winning streak in parabadminton at the ongoing Paralympics in Paris.
This Friday morning, she overwhelmed Australia’s Celine Aurelie Vinot in two straight sets of Group B at the La Chapelle Arena in Paris.
She won the first set at 21-8 and the second at 21-14 to consolidate on her earlier Thursday dispatch of India’s Mandeep Kaur by the same scores of 21-8, 21-14.
Eniola had reviously played tennis before she was scouted by the late Para badminton coach Bello Oyebanji, who encouraged her to switch sports.
Meanwhile, her compatriot, Nnanna Chigozie Jeremiah, lost his second match to Indonesia’s Fredy Setiawan. The Indonesian won 21-12, and 24-22.
