Para -Badminton: Bolaji Eniola wins three gold medals in Cario

Nigeria’s Bolaji Eniola continued her dominance in Para-badminton, winning three gold medals at the 2024 Egypt international Para Badminton Championship in Cairo.

Eniola won gold in the women’s singles beating Adriane Spinetti Avila of Brazil 2-0 (21-5, 21-6) to emerge Champion.

The gold rush continued in the Women’s Doubles as She paired compatriot Chinyere Okoro to defeat Rosa Efomo De Marco (Italy) and Diana Lizeth Leon Sierra (Colombia) 2-1 (21-19, 16-21, 21-3).

Eniola’s third gold came through the Mixed Doubles event with Chigozie Jeremiah against Jagadesh Dilli (India) and Rosa Efomo De Marco (Italy) 2-0 (21-7, 21-10).

She is the first Nigerian and African to enter three finals at the Egypt International Para Badminton Championship 2024 in Cairo.

Late last year, Eniola qualified for the Paralympic Games in Paris later this year after she emerged champion at the 5th Pazza Dubai Para- Badminton International championship.

Eniola, who created a stir by winning the Spanish Open Para-Badminton International on her international debut in 2021, has been unbeaten in 2023, winning the Uganda International 2023 before clinching three gold medals at the Africa Para-Badminton Championships in Kampala, Uganda.
