Fast rising hip hop group, Show Dem Camp (Wale Davies aka Tec and Olumide Ayeni aka Ghost), has released a new work entitled ‘Palm Wine Music’.

The rap duo known for their hit singles, ‘Happy Weekend Sir’, ‘Feel Alright’, ‘Getting You’, and ‘Farabale’ – the track that introduced a relatively unknown May D and the lyrics ‘Chop My Money’ to music lovers – worked tirelessly for two years to come up with the seven-track album.

‘It took close to two years to create something that will set the Nigerian music scene agog as well as keep our fans happy and entertained,” Tec says, adding, “Palm Wine Music has since taken on a life of its own – with the name of the tropical drink being used to describe the sweet fusion of African percussion with live instrumentals, elements of hip hop, and an atmosphere surrounding those feel-good songs. It represents ‘escaping the stress of Lagos life’, oneness with nature, chilling with friends and a beautiful woman… just a happy place.”

Produced by Spax, the EP features several acts in the alternative and palm wine music spaces including Funbi, Poe, Boj, Ajebutter, Odunsi, the Engine and Tomi Thomas.
