Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, yesterday, effected a minor cabinet reshuffle in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, as well as Ministry of Trades, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives, by swapping the commissioners in the two ministries.
This was made known during the executive council meeting, held at the Executive Council Chambers, the Governor’s Office, Treasury Building, Ibadan.
Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism in the state, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, who made this known to journalists after the counc meeting stated that Olasunkanmi Olaleye, has been moved to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, while Chief Bayo Lawal, will henceforth be in charge of the Ministry of Trades, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives.
Olasunkanmi had been appointed as Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology at the inception before he was redeployed to the Ministry of Trades, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives. Lawal also started as Commissioner for Special Duties before be was redeployed to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
In attendance at the council meeting on Tuesday was the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Bayo Lawal, which is his first executive council meeting after he was sworn in as the deputy governor of the state.
The Secretary to the State Government, Olubamiwo Adeosun, and Chief of Staff to the governor, Segun Ogunwuyi were among the top government officials at the council meeting.
