The Oyo State Education Trust Fund (ETF) in partnership with the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has distributed science kits to public secondary schools in the state.

The initiative aims to enhance the teaching and learning of science subjects by integrating practical applications with theoretical knowledge.

Speaking at the distribution event held at the ETF office in Jericho, Ibadan, the Chairman of the Fund, Abdur-Raheem Abdur-Rahman, reiterated the commitment of Governor Seyi Makinde to improving education standard in Oyo State.

He noted the government’s ongoing efforts, including the recruitment of qualified teachers, provision of furniture, and distribution of customized exercise books to public schools.

He said the science kits would significantly improve students’ scientific understanding, ensuring they gain hands-on experience rather than relying solely on rote memorization.

“Education remains the key to societal transformation. A society that neglects this fact risks stagnation and poverty. Governor Makinde’s administration recognizes this and has prioritized education as a core pillar of the Omituntun 2.0 agenda,” he stated.
