One body has been recovered while rescued persons have risen to 26 in the two-storey building that collapsed in Oyingbo area of the state.
Spokesman of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Amodu Shakiru disclosed this in an update sent to Daily Sun on Monday afternoon.
Earlier, Controller General of the service, Margaret Adeseye disclosed that the incident occurred at 54, Cole Street, Cemetery Bus Stop in Oyingbo area.
She disclosed that the building had been marked “distressed” but the occupants failed to vacate.
She further disclosed that 15 persons were recovered, comprising seven male adults, four female adults and four children, and taken to hospital for medical attention.
