Oyetola’s administration, reference point of good governance- Artisans

Oyetola

Members of different artisans groups in Osun, have described the administration of Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, as a reference point of good governance and positive development.

They made the remarks at an engagement programme organised by the State’s Civic Engagement Centre on Sunday in Osogbo.

According to them, Oyetola has laid legacy of probity and focussed leadership in the state, notwithstanding the outcomes of the July 16 governorship election.

In his remarks, Mr Obafemi Sunday, the Chairman of Osun Chapter of Barber Association of Nigeria, said that the governor’s good work since inception of his administration had became a pacesetter and reference point.

Sunday said that members of the association would continue to pray for the governor to emerge victorious at the election petition tribunal.

“We will not stop praying for the governor, as we encourage him to approach the court to reclaim his mandate.

“He has done well and his legacies will remain with us forever for setting high standard level of good governance.

“We are behind him and we will continue to support him,” he said.

Also, Mrs Funmilayo Taiwo, the President of Hairdressers Association of Nigeria, Osun Chapter, said the outcome of the election would not in anyway prevent them from supporting the governor.

Taiwo said there was no doubt that people of the state massively voted for the governor.

She said nothing would change their love, support and loyalty to the governor.

Responding, the governor commended members of the associations for their unflinching support toward him and his administration.

Oyetola, represented by his Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Mr Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, urged the people of the state to continue to pray for him for the will of God to be done.

The governor also said that his administration would not in anyway relent in the good work he had started since inception.

“We will continuity our good work, because we are committed to the progress of the state.

“We will continue to champion the cause of the masses of our people in line with the mandate.

“We must, among other things, accord priority to their welfare and security,” the governor said.(NAN)
