Oyetola visits Olubadan, pledges national development, purposeful leadership

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at the monarch’s palace in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The visit saw the minister pay homage to the revered traditional ruler and elder statesman while engaging in wide-ranging discussions centred on national development, purposeful leadership and the sustained progress of the South-West region.

Oyetola used the occasion to express his appreciation for the royal father’s enduring contributions to peace, unity and political stability in Ibadanland and beyond. He acknowledged the Olubadan’s steady influence as a pillar of wisdom and continuity within the region’s traditional and civic landscape.

In his response, Oba Ladoja commended Oyetola’s record of service to the nation, particularly in his present role spearheading the advancement of Nigeria’s marine and blue economy sector. The monarch offered words of encouragement for the minister’s ongoing efforts to unlock the vast potential of the country’s maritime resources for economic growth and job creation.
