Prominent cleric Chris Oyakhilome has commended Pastor Bolaji Idowu for what he described as “tremendous” growth in life and ministry, in a birthday message delivered via a telephone call during a celebration held in Lagos.
The message, which was conveyed in a telephone conversation and amplified to guests at the event, saw Oyakhilome congratulate Idowu and thank God for what he called the visible work of the Holy Spirit in the pastor’s life.
“I thank the Lord for His grace on your life, for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life, so clearly evidenced in everything you do,” Oyakhilome said, expressing affection and appreciation for their relationship.
He recalled their early association, noting that their connection dates back to their time at the International School of Ministry in South Africa. According to him, the progress recorded since then has been remarkable.
“I’m glad to have seen the growth of your life and ministry, which has been really tremendous, right from the early days,” he said.
Oyakhilome highlighted what he described as notable outcomes of Idowu’s ministry, including church expansion, soul-winning efforts, miracles and large meetings. He said these developments were evidence of divine backing.
“To see the remarkable fruits that you bear — the churches, the souls won, the miracles, the amazing meetings these wonderful things that have followed you, I thank God for you,” he added.
The cleric also offered prayers for continued progress, asking God to increase grace in Idowu’s life and grant him health and strength. He extended prayers to Idowu’s family and leaders within the ministry.
“I pray the Lord will increase His grace in your life more and more and keep you healthy and strong always,” he said.
Oyakhilome further thanked attendees for celebrating the pastor, describing the recognition as well deserved, and expressed appreciation for their support for Idowu, his wife and family.
The birthday event drew a large gathering of followers, associates and well-wishers, with tributes highlighting Idowu’s influence and expanding ministry.
