According to the technical adviser of the Oyo State Squash Association and sponsor of the JGM National Squash Championship, Emmanuel Oyewumi, says he is impressed with the turnout of players and expects a good tournament.

“This is the second edition of this event and I must tell you that I am impressed with the turnout and proud to have them come to Ibadan to play. We all cannot leave tournaments for the Nigeria Squash Federation to organize but must as former athletes do our part to assist and give back.

“The economy in Nigeria is not smiling but sports remains the only rallying point for Nigerians and as such I will call on corporate bodies, squash stakeholders to support the federation to ensure that the game of squash does not die,” the former national U19 champion told Daily Sun Sports in a chat from his base in Ibadan.
