Over 1,500 children and other vulnerable people in Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State now have access to free medical care, educational support and essential relief after Joseph Ogogo Foundation (JOF), concluded its third humanitarian outreach in the rural community.
JOF’s director, Dr. Austin Ogogo, said the exercise delivered free healthcare services, essential relief materials and renewed hope to hundreds of residents.
Driven by its flagship advocacy, “Every Child Deserves an Education,” the Foundation said children could only thrive academically when their health, welfare and family environment are supported.
The Foundation adopted an integrated approach that combines educational advocacy with healthcare delivery, humanitarian assistance and community empowerment.
“We are still overwhelmed by the incredible warmth and reception we received during our third intervention outreach in Obanliku. Bringing essential support, healthcare and hope to the resilient people of Obanliku was a deeply moving experience for our entire team.
He added that the Foundation remained resolute in its commitment to reaching vulnerable communities with life-changing interventions that restore dignity, improve well-being and create opportunities for children and families.
“Despite logistical challenges, every life matters and every child deserves to learn and fulfil their potential.”
Dr Ogogo further reaffirmed that the Foundation would continue to deepen its investments in education, healthcare and community development.
He urged corporate organisations, development partners and philanthropists to collaborate in scaling services so more vulnerable children can access education and quality healthcare.
Community leaders commended JOF for bringing life-changing support closer to rural residents, describing it as a powerful demonstration of compassion, partnership and hope. They called for more sustained interventions in Obanliku and neighboring LGAs.
