There was an outrage yesterday as operatives of the Imo state Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO) reportedly hit and killed two persons riding on a motorcycle, while trying to impound a commercial vehicle.
The tragic incident which occurred yesterday afternoon along St Mulumba Catholic Akachi Road, near First Bank, sparking an outrage.
According witnesses , the operatives of the ENTRACO were attempting to take away a vehicle when the fatal incident.
However, the operatives fled the scene immediately leaving the victims who died on spot.

Darlington Ibekwe , the Chief Press of the Commission, who confirmed the incident disclosed that the culprit has been detained at the Owerri Urban Police Area command headquarters at Fire Service .
“We have handed the culprit to the Owerri Urban Police Area command and he is currently being detained there. It was an unfortunate incident”.
Residents are calling on the state and federal governments to intervene, citing recent instances of alleged misconduct by Imo ENTRACO Personnels. The incident has heightened tensions in the state, with many demanding accountability and justice for the victims.
Operatives of the Agency had two weeks ago, killed one chukwudi Ordu and left three persons with gun shot injuries during the fracas that erupted amid the demolition of the Toronto Market in Uratta Community, Owerri North LG, Imo State.
