A wave of anger has erupted in Ugwuoba community, Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State, following allegations that a woman forced her young niece to eat human faeces while the child was under her care.
The incident, which has sparked widespread outrage both within the community and on social media, led to the suspect being publicly paraded by irate residents.
A viral video circulating online shows scores of women escorting the woman through the community, chanting and openly condemning what they described as a horrific act of child abuse.
Witnesses said the victim is the suspect’s niece, although details surrounding the circumstances of the alleged abuse remain unclear.
The disturbing allegation has triggered widespread condemnation across social media platforms, with many Nigerians demanding a thorough police investigation and the immediate prosecution of the suspect if found culpable.
