The Ntoe-in-Council of Nkonib (Ikot Ansa) Qua Clan has commended the Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu, describing his administration as one driven by purposeful and inclusive leadership over the past three years.
The commendation was contained in a statement issued by the Clan Head, HRH Ntoe Paul Assim Ita, and the General Secretary, Ntufam Francis Effiom, Ph.D, to mark the governor’s third anniversary in office.
The group said the administration has restored public confidence in governance and rekindled hope among citizens through reforms and development initiatives across key sectors of the state economy.
According to the statement, the governor’s efforts in revamping critical sectors, improving infrastructure, promoting peace and security, and strengthening governance structures have continued to inspire optimism among residents.
“Your administration’s efforts in revamping critical sectors of the economy, improving infrastructure, promoting peace and security, and restoring public confidence in governance have continued to inspire hope among the people,” the statement read.
The Qua Clan particularly praised Otu’s inclusive leadership style, noting that it has helped foster unity among Cross Riverians across political, ethnic and social divides.

The council also congratulated the governor on his emergence as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 governorship election, describing it as a strong indication of confidence in his leadership.
It said the development reflects the trust and support of party faithful and the wider populace, who continue to identify with his administration’s direction.
“This victory is a clear testament to the confidence and trust reposed in your leadership by party faithful and the good people of the state,” the statement noted.
The Qua Clan further prayed for continued wisdom, strength, good health and divine guidance for the governor as he led the state forward.
