Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti will on Thursday, November 30, swear-in Air Vice Marshall Chinwendu Onyike (retd), former President, National Association of Chambers of Cmmerce, Industries Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Chief John Udeagbala, and 15 others as Mayors of the 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
A release by the special adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Okeoma, put the venue if the event at Michael Okpara Auditorium, Library Avenue Umuahia, while time is12 Noon.
Air Vice Marshall Onyike (retd) will be in charge of Isuikwuato Local Government Area, Chief Udeagbala will head Aba North Local Government.
Others to be sworn-in are, Dr. Elelenta Nwambuisi Elele, Isiala Ngwa South LGA; Newman Azu, Ukwa West; Joe Ezearu, Arochukwu; Obike Ejike Nnochiri, Umuahia South; C.Y. Nwankwo, Isiala Ngwa North and Ndubuisi Ike, Umunneochi LGA.
Also to be sworn-in include, Osinachi Hycinth Nwaka, Ikwuano; Chijioke Nwankwo, Bende; Chief David Onuoha Ogba (Bourdex), Ohafia and Dr. Eric Egwuibe, Obingwa LGA.
The rest are Nosike Ihesiaba, Ugwunagbo; Dr. (Mrs) Ngozi Nwagbara, Ukwa East; Chief Victor Ikeji, Umuahia North; Uchechukwu A. C. Wogu, Aba South; and Israel Nweke, Osisioma Ngwa LGA.
The release requested the affected Mayors and their guests to be seated before the arrival of the Governor.
