Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore won in his polling unit in the Saturday’s governorship election.
Omisore polled a total vote of 204, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) had 34 votes and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 34 votes.

The presiding officer of unit 003, Yemoo ward in More area of Ile-Ife announced the results.
One of the voters, Mrs Yemisi Michael expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the result.
She said the election was conducted peacefully in the unit and many other polling units in the town.
Also, an election observer, Mr Waheed Saka said the election was peaceful in all the polling centres he monitored in Ile-Ife and other parts of the state.
