The Osun State Police Command has arrested three suspected thugs who have been terrorising residents and students in Oke-Baale and surrounding areas in Osogbo.
The suspects have been identified as Abass Quadri (26), Olanrewaju Joshua (24) and Yusuf Taiwo (23).
In a statement released on Thursday, police spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi disclosed that operatives carried out targeted patrols and raided criminal hideouts following complaints from Osun State University (UNIOSUN) students regarding repeated attacks along their transit routes.
“Their modus operandi involved ambushing students, threatening them, confiscating their mobile phones and forcing them to make digital fund transfers.

“The suspects have been charged to court, and operations are ongoing to track down and apprehend other members of the syndicate,” Ojelabi said.
The police command commended the residents for providing timely information and urged the public to stay vigilant, advising citizens to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station immediately.
