The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Johnson Kokumo, yesterday declared 30hrs restriction of movement for the conduct of the Saturday gubernatorial election in Osun State.

He said there would be a restriction of movement from 00hrs (12am) on Saturday to 18hours (6am) on Sunday.

Kokumo called for collective effort in a bid to have a free, fair and credible poll, advising members of the public to alert the security operatives whenever they notice electoral anomalies such as vote-buying.

He spoke during the interactive session with accredited observer groups in Osogbo, the state capital.

“People who are saddled with the responsibility with special duties such as INEC accredited press men and women and election observers are free to move as far as they have their tags,” he stated.
