The Forum of Local Governments Chairmen of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State has declared total support for the governorship candidate of the party in the state, Dr Najeem Folasayo Salaam.
The forum, which comprises all the chairmen of the party in all the 30 local government areas of the state also expressed readiness to work for the victory of Salaam in the forthcoming governorship election.
Chairman of the forum, who is also the chairman of the party in Obokun Local Government Area, Adewumi Olufemi Famoyin, in a statement, reiterated the commitment of the party’s local government chairmen to the victory of Salaam in the next governorship election.
Famoyin, who assured that the local government chairmen were prepared to work in unity and cohesion, called on all members of the party in the state to unite together for the overall benefit of the party in the governorship race.
He stressed the need for inclusiveness within the party, just as he called on the leadership of the party to ensure that all members are carried along in the activities of the party ahead of the polls.
Besides, he encouraged all members of the party to participate actively in all the campaign activities of the party, even as he called for intensive campaigning at the grassroots level.

He warned all members of the party, especially the party leaders across all the local government areas against anti party activities.
He also expressed the commitment of all the chairmen of the party in all the local government areas across the state to the programme and policies of the party.
He expressed optimism that Dr Salaam and his running mate, Mrs Temitope Agiri, would win the August 15 governorship elections.
The ADC leader, who called for unity among members of the party, enjoined all members of the party in all the 30 local government areas of the state to work together for the victory of the party in the next governorship election.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the ADC in Osun State, Major Raphael Ayotunde Towobola has called for unity and cohesion in the party.
Towobola, who emerged at the state congress of the party held at Ogo Oluwa area of Osogbo, called for total support for Dr Salaam ahead of the August 15 governorship election in the state.
He said the party was prepared to take over the reins of government from the ruling Accord Party, adding that the ADC would bring in place responsive administration that would cater for the masses of the state.
