Osun State Government has enjoined all stakeholders in HIV response in the state to mobilize their members to participate in the 2024 World AIDS Day.

A statement by the Executive Secretary of the Agency for the Control of AIDS (O’SACA), Dr. Olusegun Daramola, on Friday, said the state would join the rest of the world to celebrate with the theme: Take the right path.”

Noting that the celebration which usually comes up December 1, serves as a crucial opportunity to unite in the fight against HIV; show support for people living with HIV/AIDS and remember those who have lost their lives to AIDS-related illnesses.

“The day aims to raise awareness, bring back conversations around HIV/AIDS and highlight the ongoing challenges and achievements in the fight against HIV/AIDS,” Daramola said.

He said Osun will have a Tennis match at Osogbo Tennis Club, GRA, on Saturday, while media engagement and candle light procession will follow on Sunday.

According to him, there will be a roadshow on Monday followed by lecture/symposium.
