Osun State Government has received the first set of palliative from the federal government, Daily Sun has gathered.
Findings showed that about five trailers of foodstuff were delivered to the state on 5th August 2023.
It was gathered that the Ministry of Special Duties and his counterpart in commerce have argued over who should take charge of the consumables.
A source said, “I can confirm that not less than five trailers have been delivered to the state. Though I can not disclose the location of the warehouse for security reasons. I don’t know why it has not been disbursed.
When contacted, the spokesperson to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Olawale Rasheed, confirmed the receipt of the foodstuffs.
He assured that the government will announce the distribution once the remaining ones are delivered.
“Part of the palliative were indeed delivered to the state but we have not announced it because we are expecting the remaining ones.
“I can assure you that proper announcement and distribution would be made once the last batch is received,” Rasheed said.
