Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that polling officials properly document and upload election results during Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.
Davido raised the concern in a post on X, alleging that some presiding officers were saying they would only enter results at the collation centre.
He urged voters and supporters of the Accord Party to insist that results be recorded at the polling unit using the appropriate electoral forms and uploaded to INEC’s Result Viewing (IReV) portal.
In the post, Davido wrote: “It is being reported that some POs are saying they will only input result at the collation center.”
He subsequently urged Accord supporters and voters to ensure that results were entered on Form EC8A, signed and uploaded to IReV.

“Insist on your right!!!! Call your staff to orderrrrrrrrrr,” he added, directly addressing INEC.
Davido also declared that alleged attempts to use federal influence to affect the election would not succeed in Osun.
“Federal might will fail here,” he said.
His comments came as voting and result processing continued across the state, with attention focused on the transparency of the collation and electronic transmission of polling-unit results.
