Vice presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke on his re-election.
The former Kano governor said Adeleke’s victory is a reminder that the people’s will must prevail when citizens remain committed to their civic responsibilities and make their voices heard.
He made this known in a congratulatory message shared on Facebook on Sunday.
Kwankwaso said, “I congratulate my friend, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State and candidate of the Accord Party, on his victory in the 15 August 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.

“As a leader of the opposition and a committed democrat, I commend the people of Osun State for exercising their democratic rights and reaffirming the power of the people’s mandate.
“This victory is a reminder that when citizens remain committed to their civic responsibilities and make their voices heard, the people’s will must prevail.”
Kwankwaso also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the election and encouraged all stakeholders to continue to uphold the principles of credible, peaceful and transparent elections.
