The Accord Party governorship candidate and incumbent Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has polled a total of 511,067 votes in the just-concluded governorship election in the state.
This followed the conclusion of the collation of results from all 30 local government areas of the state by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Adeleke secured the highest number of votes in the election, putting him in a strong position to retain his seat as governor of the state.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, scored 444,815 votes, while the African Democratic Congress, ADC, came third with 17,180 votes.
With the conclusion of the collation, all is set for INEC to declare the winner of the keenly contested election.
A total of 15 political parties were on the ballot.
