The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Irewole/Isokan State Constituency in Osun State, Taofeeq Falade, has unveiled an 8-point agenda outlining his vision for effective legislative representation if elected.
Speaking with our Correspondent yesterday, Falade prioritized education and youth empowerment, promising free JAMB, WAEC, and NECO registration forms for indigent students across the Irewole and Isokan Local Government Areas.
He also pledged an annual bursary scheme for tertiary students alongside the establishment of an ICT and skills acquisition center to enhance youth employability.
On human capital development, Falade committed to facilitating public and private sector employment for local youths, a cause he noted he had been pursuing long before entering politics.
To boost the local economy and agriculture, the house of assembly candidate promised to lobby for subsidized fertilizers, improved seed varieties, and tractors for farmers.
Additionally, he vowed to secure soft loans and government grants for smallholder farmers and market women.
Detailing his healthcare and social welfare plan, Falade pledged to facilitate the upgrading and equipping of Primary Health Centres (PHCs) across all wards.
He also promised quarterly medical outreaches for senior citizens, pregnant women, and children, as well as dedicated welfare packages for widows, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
Addressing infrastructure, security, and local governance, Falade emphasized economic empowerment for grassroots workers.
“We are going to empower artisans, traders, commercial motorcyclists, hairdressers, and tailors with actual tools, not just promises,” Falade said.
On security, he promised to collaborate with traditional rulers, community leaders, and security agencies to strengthen community policing, while utilizing local dialogue frameworks to resolve land disputes and farmer-herder conflicts peacefully.
Falade promised an open-door policy, pledging to establish functional constituency offices and host regular town hall meetings to ensure community needs directly guide legislative priorities.
